Kyadondo East Constituency is located in the central part of Uganda. The constituency is made up of Kira town municipality and Nangabo Sub-County, covering about 219.48 Sqaure kilometers. The constituency has a population of 216,726, spread out with the majority settling in Kira municipality. Kyaddondo East is both rural and semi-urban.
In the rural part of the constituency, which is mainly covered by Nagabo sub-county, the major economic activities include farming, brick laying, transport and trade especially in the small towns. Restaurants, market vending, hair care, roadside groceries, health care clinics and transport are major activities in the semi-urban part, with more in Kira Municipality. There is also a growing population of salaried employees.
Kyaddondo East Constituency is occupied by people from all the diverse tribes of Uganda, with Baganda as the majority. Luganda is the most spoken language in the constituency.
